The work order was for “running out of hot water”. The technician just turned up the heat setting to the highest setting. I had a maintenance technician turn the setting to 120 degrees which is the most efficient setting without compromising the temperature of the water. 120 degrees is plenty hot. So, the technician did NOT check the element. Now the water heater is set on the highest setting which means the elements that are working are working harder and using more electricity which will result in a higher electric bill, not to mention a waste of energy.
At Berger Rental Communities, we constantly strive to make your stay with us more enjoyable. How can we further improve our resident services department?
Make sure all your maintenance technicians thoroughly check reasons why something may not be working correctly.
