$400 Electric Bills – Buy a House Instead

I just responded to another individual’s review about this complex regarding the high electric bills. The electric bills are insane. Our June/July bill was $376. Our July/August bill was $423. For an 890 square foot apartment, it is downright wrong. I work at PECO; I know how the billing works. The inefficiency of these units is mindblowing. It’s a shame because my husband and I have had an otherwise very pleasant experience living here. The maintenance staff can only do so much before turning the call over to Guardian Water and Power – the third party utility management company. Trying to discuss the electric billing situation with the personnel at that company is like beating your head against the wall – they blaim it entirely on the heat and humidity. Needless to say, we are looking forward to moving at the end of next summer. I’m giving the construction 1 star because the energy INefficiency is downright wrong in these units to be generating electric bills as high as they are.

Like I said, besides the electric bills, this complex is wonderful. Had I known the bills were this insane, we would have signed with another complex.
